Why Join TTS?
TTS is a reputable tutoring service that provides affordable one-to-one tutoring services to clients. All of our tutors are independent contractors and get paid directly by the clients. We offer both platforms of in-person and online.
We are looking for applicants who are BC Certified teachers. Our demand for tutors in Vancouver and surrounding cities has increased over the past few years, particularly for in-person. - Minimum of a Master’s Degree in your chosen field
- Previous teaching experience at a high school or college level
- Two letters of professional reference, relevant to your teaching experience.
Is tutoring a good side job?
With the rising cost of living post-pandemic, many people are exploring side jobs to boost their income. The amount you make tutoring will depend on the type of tutoring job you take and the qualifications/experience you have.
Tutoring as a part time job
One of the biggest advantages of tutoring is the flexibility it offers. You can set your own schedule and choose to tutor during your free time, making it an ideal side job for those looking to balance work and personal commitments.
What type of tutor makes the most money?
Most clients request private tutoring for Math, especially from grades 10 to 12. That means tutors will have an easier time finding clients if they are able to tutor Math and other STEM subjects.
However, we also have clients looking for any kind of subjects: from Primary grade 1 to History.
