Teacher’s Tutoring Service (TTS) was established in 1983 with support from the BC Teacher’s Federation (BCTF). Our goals remain the same today as they were in 1983: helping students and teachers by providing a tutoring service that is professional, non-profit and affordable.

In response to the ongoing challenges posed by the teacher’s strike, we’ve expanded our services to Calgary. With many subjects overlapping across the curriculum in Alberta, our experienced tutors are well-equipped to support students and ease concerns for parents worried about academic setbacks.

With TTS, you are not required to commit to any number of lessons, nor do we require you to sign a contract. It is a pay as you go system. You pay for each lesson when it takes place.

Cost of tutoring broken down
TTS is a non profit society – as such, our goal is to provide you with affordable, high quality tutoring, while minimizing cost. The bulk of the $57/hr hourly rate is paid to the tutor, while a small portion covers off TTS administration and staffing charges.
Additionally, a portion of the tutoring rate is donated to TAS Tutoring Aid Society. TAS is our registered BC charity that provides subsidized tutoring services to students that wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford tutoring.
