Encouraging and Engaging Tutor

I am writing to inform TTS of my experience of having been tutored in math by Mr. Silviu Z. I had reached out to Silviu earlier this year when I realized that it would be a struggle for me to complete a difficult online math course without help from an expert. At the time, I was also taking four other courses from Athabasca, all prerequisites for UBC’s Bachelor of Education Program. I do not have a strong mathematical background. Silviu was extremely helpful and patient while tutoring me. He helped me arrive at understandings and comprehensions of math that would have been out of my depth if not for his expertise. He is an encouraging and engaging teacher who sincerely cares about the success of his students. I would recommend him to anybody who is looking to further develop their mathematical skills.

I just wanted to follow up on my daughter’s experience with TTS.

Jordan A. was prompt, accommodating and supportive to our daughters needs.  We were able to work out a weekly schedule plus Mr. A was accommodating to a few extra sessions prior to tests. Mr. A. in both his communications with me and my daughter, was always prompt and kind. He supported our daughter to understand Chemistry 12 concepts in a way that was more aligned with our daughter’s learning style.

We are extremely grateful for our whole experience overall with TTS and look forward to continuing with tutoring for our other children in the upcoming school year.

Kind and fun tutor

Our family contacted Patricia K. in a bit of a panic last fall when my daughter’s grade 6 classroom teacher went on leave and we were left with a different substitute every day. 

Patricia K. fit us in right away and started working with my daughter in math and language arts. Listening to their sessions my daughter was happy and engaged – a miracle! Patricia encouraged her creative writing skills and her appreciation of my daughter’s writing really gave my daughter confidence to work hard on her writing and take it to the next level.  In math Patricia has worked tirelessly on the fundamentals with my daughter and her most recent report card showed a vast improvement from the last two. I cannot recommend Patricia’s kind, fun, consistent and thoughtful approach more. She is a wonderful tutor.
